Our motto has always been Purpose, People and Planet over Profit. Based on these principles, Cocotechnik strongly believes that we grow as a company not by looking at profits but by growing our people and our eco system. Our mantra is not to complicate a traditional and successful natural process but rather to work alongside it. This creates more sustainable and longevity driven ways that protect and not destroy one of Sri Lanka’s traditional industries.
Based on a self empowerment and self growth method, the company has a strong cottage industry type eco system with reliable and efficient partners paving the way for our growth.

PEOPLE
Our people have always been the main focus and strength of the business. For over two decades we have worked with multiple generations of a small community in the south of Sri Lanka sharing many beautiful stories of success and personal growth. We have unfortunately also witnessed the destruction caused by the 2004 Tsunami, which took many lives and destroyed homes, schools and livelihoods in the area.
Through our many community engagement programs over the years, we have been able to give something back to a community which has been the foundation and heart of our business. Our programs include food and essential item distribution, educational programs and distribution of uniforms and books, sanitary and hygiene programs amongst others.

We have been fortunate to work alongside leading British and European companies who are global leaders in the areas of sustainability, biodiversity and environmental focus.
Our many innovative products have been featured in many groundbreaking environmentally focused programs and projects.
